Unprecedented Irish attack on catholic church

Our comment – July 17, 2011
Before reading on, please watch here the Irish Prime Minister, Enda Kenny, deliver his groundbreaking speech at the Irish parliament.

Never before a head of state of a European or other country has openly criticised the Vatican in such clear and stringent words on the way the (so called) “Holy See” handles or handled the protection of children left in the care of the catholic clergy. And this: “Three years, not three decades ago…”
Never before a reigning statesman has so clearly pronounced how the “primacy of the institution”, “its standing, its power and its reputation” are the sole interest of the Vatican and thus denying the foundation on which the catholic church (supposedly) is built. How the report exposed the elitism, dysfunction, disconnection, and narcissism of the catholic church today.
Never before any head of state has dared to announce to the Vatican that such behaviour shall no longer be tolerated and that “the relations will not be the same again…”.

The words of the (practicing catholic) Irish PM, Enda Kenny, can not be misunderstood by the Vatican, the general public or any European politician who, until now have allowed the catholic church to downplay, ignore or deny the rape or torture of children.

What the McCullough-, the Ferns-, the Ryan-, the Murphy report have failed so far to do; the Cloyne Report has finally done it for the Irish government: the Irish government has enough!
They no longer allow the catholic hierarchy to fool them or pretty talk them into the believe that everything is going to be better in the future…
The Irish government is taking action, passing legislation, has had enough of the Vatican and makes that absolutely clear and for the whole world to see. Groundbreaking! and hopefully a good example to be followed by other nations allover the world.

Never before a head of state has chosen so clearly the side of the survivors of this abuse and his words are full of empathy and compassion! Another good example for other members of state!

Germany: In current times the German government can be seen moving away from the victims, in an effort to avoid having to admit the mistakes made by ministeries in the past. The victims stand and watch: disempowered.
Netherlands: The fate and sufferings of the victims is lost in the political trenches and in the tug between the parties the resolution of their needs does not obtain the necessary political majority. The victims watch the play and pull their hair in desperation.
Italy: The close ties between the current government and the catholic church does not allow an open discussion in the media and therefore the freedom of expresion is breeched daily. The Vatican stays in power in the government and the public is not informed about the atrocities that take and took place allover the country. The victims live their crippled lives in isolation; the only comfort coming from other survivors.

Ireland is not an exemption: the Vatican’s behaviour is general operating procedures and I wonder when all politicians will see (at last) that their UN ally, the Vatican, is the center of deception? When will they finally condemn the disregard of human rights? When will they avenge the insult of those who have placed their trust in them: the self proclaimed representatives of God? When will they unmask the safekeeper of criminals who have committed the vilest of crimes: robbing the children of their innocence, their youth, their potential, their lives?
When will other governments follow the brave Irish PM Enda Kenny who stands up against that mighty catholic church?
I humbly bow in respect for this man and I am honoured to live these times when justice may be done at last.

Enough!

  1. Not to diminish the high crimes of the RCC but please examine the Jehovah’s Witnesses who go door to door and come on our property.

    Jehovah’s Witnesses pedophiles.

Many court documents and news events prove that Jehovah’s Witnesses require two witnesses when a child comes forward with allegations of molestation within the congregation. Such allegations have customarily been treated as sins instead of crimes and are only reported to authorities when it is required to do so by law, (which varies by state). It has also been shown that child molesters within the organization usually have not been identified to the congregation members or the public at large.
These people engage in a door to door ministry, possibly exposing children to pedophiles.

Although the Watchtower Bible Tract Society claims that known pedophiles are accompanied by a non-pedophile in such work, there is no law stating that such a practice must be followed.

The Watchtower corporation has paid out millions in settlement money already.
