World Youth Day – Madrid 2011

by Ton Leerschool – Survivors Voice Europe
Because the voices of the survivors must be heard.

Today the 2011 World Youth Day comes to an end.
Seven days of indoctrination, stale excuses for the over 2000 years of catholic terror, empty rethorics about ‘truth’ and ‘christian behaviour’, recrutement by Opus Dei (who actually organised bus tours to Madrid – giving them also the travel time to ‘get acquainted’ with future candidates for their evil works).

Church officials waved away the extremely expensive and ridiculous costs saying that it was all for the betterment of the catholic community (as if we all should care?!?) and “essential to the growth of faith in God”. The Spanish taxpayers shouldn’t complain as they only need to bear expenses for security and traffic control. A small price to pay…if you think like a catholic!

If you have had an abortion and you were not in Madrid, you have missed a unique occasion!
Confessing the sin of abortion would normally have you excommunicated, but (as a special offer) for the pope youth event, the Vatican has authorised priests to forgive this sin !!! Everything is done to make the youngsters at home and this maybe explains why 1.5million youths wre present…
Anyway: as they have devised the rules, the rituals, the laws, the ceremonies, the saints, the funny hats, the red ballroom-shoes, the personality cult, the bling and glamour, the church economy of wealth and power…they can dismiss any internal law they want, but don’t expect us to gaze in awe at such earthly organisation that has nothing “Godly”.

The pope had to cut his speech at the prayer vigil short because of a thunderstorm over the venue (a sign of God’s disapproval?). Still, in the speeches he did make, there is enough material for healthy criticism.
To hear this man abundantly use the words -TRUTH- and -COMPASSION- is plain cynical and just another insult to the victims of clergy abuse, whether physical, psychological or sexual. It is pure and simple a repetition of the abuse!
More than 2000 years of catholic misdeeds are simply being ignored…but we will remind the world of the truth and the total absence of compassion. The voices of the survivors will be heard…

I know that for some people hypocrisy is another word for good manners, but the (self-declared) representative of Christ in this world?!? Better not believe him! And keep your children away from him or his institution.

Sponsors of the event
Below you find list of partners, sponsors, collaborators, friends, media partners and 2011 Businesses (business that have paid 2011 Euro to the WYD organisation) who have made it possible for the catholic church to erect this PR event.
I know that in modern marketing they don’t care whether people talk negatively about you…as long as they talk about you…but a company desiring to be identified with the catholic organisation will not get any more business from me anymore.
What about you? You know what they say: ” If you are not for us, you are against us!”
